This pizzeria has one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had (update in Jan 2010: it still tops my chart). The place is very posh, yet welcoming. They serve water in fancy glass bottles, and the servers are fantastic. I was one of the first one there for lunch when they opened, and not much sooner did people come pouring in. This place is really popular.

Let me just say, the pizza was AMAZING. Everything about it. But in particular the Buffalo Mozzarella, crust, and presentation was fantastic. I’m so glad I visited this place, and is my favorite pizzeria in San Francisco from my first visit. Check out these pizza shots…yum.

So Dino’s is literally half a block from Pizzeria Delfina. They’ve got a nice place, and super friendly staff. But I guess you’re either in the Dino camp or the Delfina camp. Sure they’re different vibes and price-points, but I’m looking for excellence in my pizza. That goes to say that the pizza at Dino’s was good and tasty, but not the best. It’s also very greasy. Some people like it, some people don’t.

I had to trek quite a ways to get to this pizza joint. There was a cyclist there that reminded me of Austin.

Of course, the an pizza place would put a sign that claims it’s the best pizza in the city.

Entering, it’s very dark inside. Interesting but simple decor inside. The slice actually turned out to be pretty good, but too thick for me. You can also see they sprinkle some mozzarella before reheating a slice. Not the best in SF, search can continue…

Alright, this place was bustling during lunch-time. Well, because there’s so many local businesses around and pizza is the convenient lunchtime meal! I really enjoyed eating their pizza. Giant and a lil sloppy, but crust had thin crisp layer followed by doughy underneath. Good combination. Great pizza, friends.

This place was cool. Lots of people here, very vibrant and lively. There’s a U shaped bar surrounding the pizzailos and the ovens. You get to see everything prepped and pizza being made before your eyes. Owner let me take photos of him doing his thing. They give you a giant slice that they actually slice into two. So is it one or two slices? I like to think in abundance, so it’s two :)

Pizza was tasty, but crust was a lil tough all over.

Uncle Vito’s is a place that is no-frills and unassuming. And they serve great pizza. Crust is fantastic, a little on the thick side. Not so much a fan of the cheese and super-grease. I had to stuff my belly to finish the giant slice.
