Just another day, tried Hoboken’s plain cheese slice. Looks like ones I get in NYC, and tastes good too! Sometimes the crust is a little tough here, but everything else great.

Got two slices at the Hoboken. Now, these hardly look “fresh-out-the-oven”. But I don’t know what it is about pizza, but they make damn fine leftover meals. After these two slices came out re-heated, they tasted delicious. This was interesting, because the first experience wasn’t superb. Meaning, there might be inconsistencies. On the good days however, I loves me some Hoboken.

Vegan Teese Pizza from Hoboken Pie

My friend Abel is going to Guyana to teach Algebra for the next year. As his last summer here in austin was drawing to a close, a couple friends Seth and Dave decided to surprise our Vegan friend with some company, food, and laughs.

Abel is a really awesome dude. He always looks angry, but trust me, he’s an awesome dude. He’s one that sets his mind on things and completely makes a killing out of it. He’s a talented musician, and loves intellectual conversations that I can’t follow all the time. He has a heart for helping people. And his minimalism and simplicity has inspired me.

I brought over vegan pizza from Hoboken pie, which we reheated in his oven. Teese is supposed to be the best vegan cheese out there, and it requires to be cooled down a bit after heating since the food texture is a lot more liquid-y than regular cheese. Overall it tastes like Mexican food in pizza form. Hmmmm. Not so much a fan, but good times with good friends.

It’s easy to get caught in a bubble, especially in such a cool town like Austin. But traveling to different locales is such an enlightening experience. If you are blessed with the opportunites to be mobile, by all means take it! Your life will be rewarded tenfold. Looking back, one of the most amazing experiences was taking trips out of the country – Philippines, and Dominican Republic. It’s also cool to have friends around the world – I have a good college friend in Germany, and a gal in Japan, etc.

Tried Hoboken Pie for the first time with a friend L, who’s traveled around the world a lot particularly in South America. Though I haven’t seen much of the world yet, I love living vicariously through people’s travel stories. What better over pizza!

We got a Mediterranean pizza, with olives, feta cheese, and such. I wasn’t too particular about this pizza. Crust was doughy and plain, and didn’t seem very special. Will have to check this place out again sometime for their other pizzas. They sound good, hopefully better than this time!
