Went to Conan’s on Anderson Lane, which is near the dance studio where I’ve been taking salsa dance lessons (totally fun! salsa scene in austin is pretty big…)
Let me tell you a little bit about the vibe inside. It has lots of seating that makes things private and personal. And all over the walls you can find murals of D&D-like fantasy portraits. Reminded me of a comic book store in Meadowbrook Mall in Rochester Hills, MI (for residents of my hometown, this is the mall that used to be there before the put the Village there!)
I ordered their thick-crust pan pizza which is what Conan’s is known for. You get more thin-crust types here in Austin. The pizza is VERY cheesy and really filling. Check the photos, that layer of mozzarella is laid on thick. Soft dough, too. Conan’s isn’t my type of pizza, but perhaps I’ll try it again in the future.
