At Space 12, Nathan of Seattle brought the The Round to Austin. Along with the help of many volunteers, of course :) It was an evening of collaborative Music and live art. Cool stuff.
Had East Side Pies before heading over. These are soooper droooopy pies. ESP makes their pizzas really thin, with little support. Hard to fold at times, but still a delight.
I went veggie today. Two slices. ESP knows how to do ingredients, they have a wealth of them and their menu shows that with a ton of specialty pizzas (some fairly eccentric). They’re good but not one of my faves.
Another thing. I’ve learned to like olives.

Spinach and Tomatoes | Spinach, Whole Cherry Tomatoes, Mozzarella, Feta
ESP knows how to do toppings. Cherry Tomatoes…Loved it! large botches of spinach. Touches of feta here and there. The heteregenous nature of pizza toppings is what makes every bite special, and what I love about pizza.

Spinach and Tomatoes | Red Bell Peppers, Black Olives, Mushrooms, Mozzarella
Another good veggie pizza. Peppers was not soggy and mushy, but had maintained solid texture. Mushrooms plush and flavorful. Olives added its strong sharp flavor to the pie. Very vegetabl-y taste.

[...] The Margherita is handsome looking. Mix of cheese and bufallo mozzarella (need more though!) and cherry tomatoes like they do at east side pies. [...]
